Aleister Azrael Azathoth Al’Hazred wishes you all a Happy New Year.
This blog is finally about to wake up…
The new 3-D issue of FANGORIA (with 3-D glasses that I designed) are finally and really on the shelves! If you are in Portland, they are at Powell’s City of Books and Rich’s in SW. Powell’s only has the ‘Synapse Green Brain’ design glasses, and Rich’s only has the ‘Real Brain Tissue’ glasses (which is my favorite of the two designs). I assume they are also elsewhere, nationwide, but those are the only places I’ve been.
This issue also includes an article by my old friend, co-worker, and drinking buddy, UNCLE BOB MARTIN who was the first editor of FANGORIA… I miss you UncleBob!
Hey! Be sure to buy the new issue of FANGORIA (#316), which should be on newsstands today. The entire issue is in 3-D, and includes a pair of 3-D glasses that I designed! There are two different glasses designs, so, you know, collect ‘em both…
It’s almost out of print, and DARK STARS RISING is still getting great reviews. I did the cover art. Do you have your copy yet?!?
“Shade Rupe is a man who loves cinema very deeply and this is in evidence on every single page of this book, In the entire 560 pages of ‘Dark Stars Rising’ you get the sense that this was created by the light of a 42nd street grindhouse cinema of which Shade Rupe was the ticket-taker.”
“The jacket and the occult feel of the book is almost Lovecraftian in concept and execution. It is a book for those who like their cinema raw and without apology.”
